From 16th to 19th March 2018, Indonesian Sports Association of the Deaf hosted ADSF Board in Jakarta and had a fruitful discussion with the Board on the future of deaf sports in Indonesia. ADSF is grateful to the Kopi Tuku for sponsoring coffee and snacks for the meeting.
Center of Indonesian Sign Languages Interpreter Service collaborated with the Indonesian Association for the Welfare of the Deaf to invite the Indonesian Deaf Community to have a social interaction with ADSF.
The Director at of the Public Service in the Ministry of Communication and Information and his team were invited to this special occasion where they got the opportunity to meet the ADSF and Indonesian Deaf community.
ADSF gave a talk presentation to share the vision of the future ASEAN deaf sports development and encourage them to take up sports. ADSF is working closely with Mr Harpalis Alwi to promote sports development in Indonesia.
The following day, ADSF had a Memorandum of Understanding Signing Ceremony for cooperation towards the vision of Deaf Sports development in the South East Asian region. This signing ceremony was witnessed by the Indonesian Deaf Community.
On the last day of the trip, ADSF made a trip to the Ministry of Youth and Sport for a meeting with Mr Raden Isnanta, Dr. Bayu Rahadian and their staff team. We briefed them about the plans to have ASEAN Deaf Games and the future possibility of Indonesian National Deaf Games.
